Oncology Social Worker - BSW

Full Time

Director of Social Work

Hope Cancer Resources is seeking a compassionate and dedicated BSW Oncology Social Worker to provide patient centered support to individuals and families affected by cancer.

In this role, the BSW Oncology Social Worker helps patients and caregivers navigate the practical and psychosocial challenges that can arise throughout the cancer journey. This position connects patients and families with Hope Cancer Resources programs, community and financial resources, education, and other supportive services from diagnosis through survivorship, as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial assessments and distress screenings to identify patient and family needs, barriers to care, coping concerns, and available support systems.

• Connect patients and families with Hope Cancer Resources programs and appropriate community resources.

• Provide resource navigation, education, advocacy, care coordination, emotional support, and brief supportive counseling within the scope of bachelor level social work practice.

• Manage referrals, caseloads, follow ups, and documentation accurately and efficiently.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, community agencies, and the Hope Cancer Resources team to help address patient and caregiver needs.

• Participate in patient education, outreach, team meetings, and quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from a Council on Social Work Education accredited program is required, along with current eligibility for bachelor level social work licensure or registration as required by state law and organizational policy.

Experience in healthcare, oncology, behavioral health, case management, hospice, community resource coordination, or patient navigation is preferred.

We are looking for someone who brings compassion, sound professional judgment, strong communication and organizational skills, and a commitment to treating every patient and caregiver with dignity and respect.

Transportation Driver

Transportation Supervisor

Transportation Program | Safety Sensitive Position

Hope Cancer Resources is seeking a dependable and compassionate Driver to support our transportation program by providing safe, reliable transportation for cancer patients traveling to and from cancer related appointments.

This role is an important part of helping patients access the care they need. Our drivers interact directly with patients and their families and are expected to provide a professional, supportive, and respectful experience during every trip.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport cancer patients to and from cancer related appointments.

• Assist and escort patients to and from the vehicle as needed.

• Maintain a professional, safe, and courteous driving environment at all times.

• Build positive relationships with patients, families, coworkers, and clinical staff.

• Follow daily transportation schedules and adjust assignments as needed.

• Record trip information using provided scheduling technology.

• Help maintain the cleanliness, security, and overall condition of the assigned company vehicle.

Qualifications

Applicants must have a valid Arkansas driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.

The ideal candidate will be familiar with the Hope Cancer Resources service area, comfortable using GPS and navigation tools, and physically able to assist patients getting in and out of a vehicle.
