Nutrition Education

A supportive nutrition program for cancer patients offering practical dietary guidance, education, and resources to improve energy and well-being.

This specialized nutrition education program is designed to support cancer patients and survivors through evidence-based dietary practices. The program focuses on empowering survivors with the knowledge and skills needed to make informed choices that support energy and quality of life. Nutrition education consults are offered in-person at Hope Cancer Resources, telephonic or through video-chat.

The program aims to provide a variety of practical dietary modifications for patients and survivors such as:

  • Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) for macronutrients: Protein, Carbohydrates, Fats
  • Balanced Diet & Portion Control
  • Reading Food Labels
  • Hydration
  • Meal/Snack Planning Tips
  • Manage Treatment Side Effects
  • Handouts/Visual Nutrition Resources

Participants receive handouts (Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Nutritional Care Manual) and recipe books (Holly Clegg’s Eating Well Through Cancer)
