“I was first diagnosed with cancer in 2001. I was 23 years old with a 3 year old daughter. I was told I had a rare, aggressive type of cancer with little to no hope of surviving. I didn’t give up on hope. I found hope in my daughter. I had to fight for her. Over the last 13 years, Hope Cancer Resources has allowed me to give hope to others who are on their own cancer journey. And now, Hope Cancer Resources is giving me hope as I face cancer for a second time.

In September 2019, I was once again faced with cancer. I am currently undergoing treatments to fight this terrible disease again. I find hope when I look in the faces of my family; my husband, my daughter, my mother and my friends. They renew my spirit and encourage me to never give up. When I feel afraid and too weak to go on, I pray to God for strength and courage. God has seen me through cancer once and He will see me through cancer again now. Cancer takes away a lot of things, but it can’t take away my HOPE.”
