Our Story The
mission of Hope Cancer Resources is to provide
compassionate, professional cancer support and education in
the Northwest Arkansas region today and tomorrow. Our vision
is to provide hope and enhance quality of life by expanding
prevention, wellness and comprehensive cancer support
services in our region.
Hope Cancer Resources employs a highly-professional staff
which includes licensed oncology social workers, a Spanish
interpreter, two certified tobacco treatment specialists,
one who is also a certified personal trainer and certified
exercise specialist. We provide transportation to take
patients to every cancer treatment as needed as well as
education to help a patient during and after their
treatment. Financial assistance is provided for prescription
medications, nutritional supplements, dental care, gas
cards, as well as everyday living expenses to alleviate some
of the financial stress a patient and their family may face.
Believing emotional support is essential for healthy
survivorship, we offer counseling services ranging from a
kind word or listening ear to one-on-one, couples or family
counseling sessions with a licensed mental health
professional. Hope Cancer Resources also provides emotional
support in group settings.
In addition, Hope Cancer Resources will impact the
community by providing cancer prevention education for
public schools, churches, businesses and civic organizations
in our region. Prevention education includes sun and UV
safety, skin wellness, tobacco prevention and cessation, and
informational seminars on the basics of cancer and healthy
lifestyle behaviors to lower cancer risk.
In 2017, the Wellness Center for Hope opened to enhance the
quality of life in survivors and caregivers by restoring
physical activity, optimizing nutrition and healthy weight,
and developing healthy behaviors and lifestyles.
The programs of Hope Cancer Resources are funded in
part through grants, special events, corporate and
individual donations as well as the Hope Cancer Resources
Foundation.

Our Values

Our History
In September 2009, Northwest Arkansas Radiation Therapy
Institute (NARTI) and HOPE, Inc. merged their patient
support and community outreach services to become Hope
Cancer Resources. By bringing these two organizations
together, the boards of directors created an entirely new
organization to provide cancer support and education to the
communities in Northwest Arkansas.
